Heading Down to Homer for an adventure

Cooking up some clam chowder, one of our favorite on boat meals.

Halibut Cove - all shut down for the season, but we had a wonderul day - we did face some large seas going back across Kahemak bay that day.

Snagging some silver salmon out of the Homer Spit lagoon - some were still bright, but most were pretty much done for.

Salmon Eggs - beautifully colored.

This one was at the spawn stage where the eggs were shooting out of her as she came to shore.

Mount Marathon in the background, the top atheletes run to the top and down in under 45 minutes - I hiked it in a couple of hours.
