Chena Hot Springs is north of Fairbanks. Aside from the hot springs, which keep the water from freezing as seen in the lower part of this photo, Chena is a wonderful place, far from city lights for viewing and photographing the Northern Lights. The heavy frost on the trees in this picture are from the warm mist of the hot springs freezing on the branches.
